A very pretty little Burnham No. 44 in blue casein with gold veining. This pen is in very good condition, though in common with many Burnhams, the gold plated trim does let it down a little. While the cap and barrel are glossy with no noticeable scratches, the pocket clip has some overall plating wear, as has the cap band. The filling lever is in much nice shape with no noticeable wear at all. The cap has a glossy black top button that holds on the tapered gold plated Burnham pocket clip. Below the clip is a single gold plated cap band. The barrel has very good clear and crisp imprint and a straight gold plated filling lever. The nib is a very shiny Burnham No. S20 - these nibs are gold plated alloy, and this one is in super condition with all its plating still in tact. It is in a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is nice and smooth to write with. It produces a lovely wet and medium width line.
A very good writer and a rather pretty little pen.
