The Pilot Justus is a very traditional looking fountain pen, with those classic 1920s/1930s looks. It is made from a jet black resin with machined barleycorn decoration, and gold plated trim. The most unusual aspect of this pen howeveris the adjustable nib. The nib is surmounted by a shaped metal cover, which presses on the the top of the nib preventing it from flexing. By adjusting the section to either the "H" (hard) or "S" (soft) setting, or anywhere in between tightens or loosens the metal nib cover to make the nib harder or softer when writing. This works in a broadly similar manner to the old eversharp Doric adjustable nibs. The Justus pen can be used with a standard Pilot ink cartrisge, and it comes fitted with the high capacity CON-70 Pilot ink converter for using bottled inks.
