Rencontre is French for “encounter”.  This series embodies the encounter between acrylic resin which offers transparentness and durability, with the elegant texture of marble patterns, born of Sailor's original technique.  Two materials blending into each other to create irregular patters to take on a beautiful form.  Resulting patterns are each unique and different.  Encounter your one-of-a-kind marble pattern, born of a combination of brand-new materials and design.  The marble patterned barrel is the iconic characteristic of this series and is manufactured with the injection molding method we normally employ for resin parts. Only under limited conditions can two colors form a beautiful marble pattern without blending too much into each other.  Marble forming techniques have existed, but it was always considered difficult to create marble patterns with acrylic resin. At Sailor Pen, we have developed an original technique for realizing marble patterns with polished shine and depth, using acrylic resin.  

Easy to carry around with a body so compact that it fits comfortably within the palm of a womanʼ s hand.  Becomes just the right size when writing, for an authentic writing performance.
