BU160 Burnham Pencil
BU160 Burnham Pencil
Date: c1950s
Size: Length - 121mm.
This is a very beautiful Burnham pencil in a most unusual dark green and light green marbled casein with the odd small inclusion of an ambery brown colour. Very lovely. It is in very good condition - unfortunately, the pocket clip has some plating wear - this is very common with these pencils. There no noticeable surface scratches or other damage, and the pencil has a good glossy appearance. The cap has a domed gold plated top button that holds on the Burnham imprinted pocket clip. There is a double gold plated band mid-barrel. The cone too is gold plated. This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cone. I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm pencil lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go . If you unscrew the pencil mid-barrel there is a space to store your spare 1.18mm leads. In the top part there is the original partly used pink eraser.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It works perfectly.
