A very handsome oversized Conklin Herringbone pen.  This is an old stock pen that I recently unearthed from my warehouse after a good clearout.  It is as new in its box and has never been used.  The Herringbone pens were made from aluminium so they are not too heavy, but have a pleasant heft to them.  The cap and barrel are machine engraved and over lacquered to make a very startling guilloche effect.  This is offset perfectly by the polished chrome trim.  The cap has a large top button inscribed "Herringbone" with the Conklin logo impressed on the flat top.  The pocket clip is held on by a spring steel mount whilst the wide cap lip band is engraved with alternating letter "C"s and crescents.  This is a cartridge/converter fill pen.  You can use the International standard ink converters (there are some in the box underneath the pad, or a standard International ink converter.  The nib is a stainless steel Conklin 2-tone nib in a medium point.  A new Conklin converter is supplied in the box.  The blue leatherette-covered box has a white satin pad, a dark blue outer slipcase and the guarantee card is also present.
