CS1103 Conway Stewart No. 25 Pencil
CS1103 Conway Stewart No. 25 Pencil
Date: c1950s
Size: Length: 111mm.
A very nice little No. 25 pencil. It is a very pretty example in burgundy casein with gold veining. These pencils were sold on their own or paired with the No. 550 Dinkie fountain pen. It is in excellent condition - in fact, I can find no damage at all on this pen. There are no scratches or other damage to cap or barrel, and all of the trim is bright and shiny with no brassing apparent. The top of the cap has a conical ended button that holds on the gold plated Conway Stewart pocket clip. This has the "CS" logo within a diamond at the top and another diamond shape at the bottom. There is a single gold plated band around the cap lip. The cap pulls off and beneath you can see the original and apparently unused pink eraser that is now time-hardened. On the side of the cap is a clear and deep imprint. This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap. I have installed a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It has been fitted with a fresh lead. All the internal mechanism is in excellent condition and the pencil works well.
An very nice little pencil.
