A very striking Monteverde Regatta fountain pen with alternating wide chrome bands on the black barrel and cap.  It is an old-stock item and has never been used.  It has been sitting in my stockroom since I ordered it from Monteverde.  The cap has a stepped top with a large Monteverde "M" chrome plated button set in the top surface.  The chrome bands are bounded by knurled ends.  The pocket clip is plain but quite sinuously shaped.  Around the lip of the cap is the imprint.  Unusually, the cap has a magnetic closure both over the nib and when posted.  The barrel unscrews to allow filling.  It has its original and unused ink converter already fitted but there is also a box of ink cartridges below the pad in the presentation box.  The nib is in a medium point.  The presentation box is in green leatherette with a white satin interior.  The green card outer slipcase is also still present and this has some surface wear to it. 

A rather unusual pen that has been discontinued for some years now.
