A beautiful black chased hard rubber De La Rue pencil that has the "USE ALBION SUGAR" advertising logo imprinted to the side of the barrel. This pencil is complete with its original "USE ALBION SUGAR" lead holder, and original box too! This item is in fantastic condition, looking to me like it has probably never actually been used. The fine barleycorn machine engraving down the length of the barrel is crisp and unworn, and the pencil's colour is a lovely and lustrous deep black with no colour fading at all. This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the large top button. This also holds on the gold plated pocket clip that has the Onoto rising sun logo at the shoulder and a lovely delicate tear-shaped terminal. The top button will also pull off to reveal the original and unused pink eraser (this is now age-petrified). The original box is also in lovely condition. It has the Albion Sugar Company name and address on the lid as weel as their logo. Inside the original instruction sheet is also still present.
I have fully serviced this pencil. I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism and it works perfectly.
