PA3471 Parker 17 Lady Fountain Pen and Pencil Set, boxed. (Medium)

This is a lovely glossy burgundy Parker 17 Lady set that is in excellent condition with no damage noted. Both pieces have the factory-applied chalk marks on the barrels and the set looks to me to have hardly been used. Both caps have a conical ended burgundy top button that holds on the rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clips. Near the cap lip is a narrow rolled gold cap band.
Fountain Pen
The barrel has a very crisp and deep imprint. The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filler. This is as new with no damage noted and still has its original pliglass ink sac which still retains most of its original transparency with just a pale red colour caste. The hooded nib is in 14 carat gold and in a medium point. The chalk marks on the barrel are slightly faded in places but you can still see what they say.
Pencil
The barrel imprint again is excellent. The cone is rolled gold with no damage. This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap. The cap also pulls off revealing an apparently unused pink eraser. I have installed a fresh 0.9mm lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go. The chalk mark on this item is exceptionally crisp and well-defined.
Box
The original polka-dot Parker box is very clean with no really damage to note. Inside, the pad is made from white satin, and it has some red staining, especially where the fountain pen sits.
I have fully serviced this set. I did just dip the nib to obtain the writing sample below. The nib is very smooth and lays down an excellent wet, fine to medium width line.
