This rather nice Dove Grey coloured Parker 51 is in very good condition with the only damage that I was able to spot being some very minor surface marks to the brushed texturing of the cap that I have taken a lose-up photo of below.  Looking with a loupe, I can make out a very fine surface scratches in the cap frosting, but these would be present in any pen that has seen any kind of use at all.  There are no splits, cracks, chips and no noticeable scratches to either hood or barrel. The grey cap top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks.  Around the cap lip is the imprint, showing "PARKER" and "MADE IN ENGLAND".  The cap has a chrome plated pocket clip.  The barrel and hood are still glossy with no noticeable scratches or any other damage. The lovely 14 carat gold hooded nib is in a medium point.  Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is made from polished stainless steel and unmarked by damage.  The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition, though as with most of these pens it has the usual internal ink staining.  The splendid and original PArker 51 box is also in very nice condition.  It has a lizard skin effect outer in a tan colour with "Parker" printed on the top of the lid.  Inside, it is lined with pink satin, though this does have some age browning to it.  

I have fully serviced this pen. The medium point nib feels very smooth on paper, and writes with a very pleasing wet and consistent line..
