This beautiful Flighter Deluxe is in very good condition. I have had a look over this pen very carefully and have noticed that if you angle the barrel just so to the light you can just see a slight rubbing of the textured surface and some very minor scratching where the cap has been posted. This is the only damage I can find though and it really needs to be looked for to be seen. The 65 was a variation on the 61 with an open cropped nib replacing the tubular hooded nib of the 61. This is a late model 65 with conical rolled gold cap and barrel jewels. The rolled gold pocket clip has a long arrow "flight", again in the Parker 61 style. The barrel unscrews to allow the fitting of a standard Parker ink cartridge or you can use the original Parker ink converter that is already fitted. The nib is shiny and undamaged with lots of iridium and in 14 carat gold. It is in what looks like a fine point. The original box is made from brown plastic with silver coloured trimmings, Parker logo to the top of the lid, and Parker name to the front. The outside of the box is textured. Inside, the lid is lined with ivory coloured satin with a slightly faded Parker logo printed on it. The pad is in a tan coloured flocked plastic. Also in the box is the original instruction sheet.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is very smooth and lays down a very good wet and fine width line.
