This is a lovely all-metal Parker 61 Flighter Deluxe with the rolled gold trim.  It is a Mk. II model with the old capillary filler being replaced with a more modern cartridge/converter pen. It is not a late set though as both pieces still have the lovely grey cap - and barrel - end jewels.  This set is in near-pristine and hardly used condition with no damage on it at all that I was able to spot.  The caps and barrels are both made from Lustraloy alloy, and has that very attractive delicate frosting over the body. 

Fountain Pen

The barrel unscrews to allow the fitting of a standard Parker ink cartridge or ink converter (not included).  The black hood has the inlaid golden arrow just behind the nib, and the nib itself is made from 14 carat gold and is a fine point. 

Ballpoint

This is a retractable pen that works by pressing down on the top of the cap.  The cap will also unscrew for refilling with a standard Parker/G2 ballpoint refill.  The pen is currently fitted with what is probably its original Parker T-Ball refill in blue and this still works very well.  

Box

The original hard shell cross-cross decorated case is also in nice condition.  It has a little staining to the outside and some pen marks to the white satin lid lining.  The pad is made from a very lovely purple satin.  

I have fully serviced this pen set.  The fountain pen writes very smoothly with a good wet and consistent ink flow.  It produces a lovely fine width line.  The ballpoint pen works perfectly.
