This is a lovely shiny all rolled gold Parker 61. It is the Mark I version with the original capillary filling mechanism fitted and working perfectly. This pen is in very good condition - I can see a tiny ding to the rear of the barrel that is far too small to photograph properly. The cap and barrel are all rolled gold and they appear bright and shiny with no apparent plating wear. They are decorated with repeating groups of vertical incised lines - the "converging lines" pattern. The grey gold top jewel is undamaged and so is the rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip. The barrel has a matching grey jewel at its end. The barrel unscrews to reveal the capillary filler with its still-perfect coating of Teflon. The hood has the inlaid gold arrow just behind the nib, and the nib itself is made from 14 carat gold and is in a medium point. The original hard-shell box is also in lovely condition. It is the typical 1950s/1960s polka-dot case with lovely deep, red satin lining to the lid and also the pad.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is very smooth in use and writes with a lovely wet and medium width consistent line.
