A rather nice India Black Parker 51 Aerometric.  The barrel and cap are lovely and glossy with no noticeable scratches or scuffs, but there is a noticeable scratch to the cap adjacent to the pocket clip terminal and a couple of small spots of discolouration, mainly below the pocket clip.  The cap has a chrome plated Parker arrow pocket clip of the long variety and the cap body is frosted with a narrow polished lip band.  Just above this polished band is the "PARKER" imprint.  The grey jewel is undamaged.  The undamaged 14-carat gold hooded nib is in a medium width point.  Unscrew the barrel to expose the aerometric filler.  This is brushed stainless steel and is still in excellent condition with none of the usual discolouration to the press-bar or to the sac guard.  The original pli-glass ink sac has only very mild internal ink staining, retaining a good deal of its original transparency.   

The original paperboard box has a white lid and a black base, both with the criss-cross design.  Inside, the pad is made from blue satin.  

I have fully serviced this pen.  It writes superbly with the very smooth, wet, medium width line that you would expect of a Parker 51.
