PA3685 Parker 61 Custom Fountain Pen and Pencil Set, boxed. (Medium)

A gorgeous English India Black with rolled gold Custom caps Parker 61 fountain pen and pencil set in their original Parker hardshell case.  Try as I might, I can find no plating wear - the only thing I could find was a small scratch on the pen at the end of the barrel adjacent to the barrel end tassie - this is likely to have been caused by posting the cap whilst the pen was in use.  The caps are decorated with repeating groups of vertical incised lines.  They all have clear grey top jewels and gold-filled Parker arrow pocket clips.

Fountain Pen

There is a clear grey jewel at the end of the barrel to match the one at the top of the cap.  The barrel unscrews to reveal the capillary filler covered in unmarked Teflon.  Usually with these pens the Teflon coating gets scratched and sometimes even starts to flake, but on this pen it is just about perfect still.  The hood is glossy and also black and has the inset golden arrow near the point.  The 14 carat hooded nib is in a medium point. 

Pencil

The cap pulls off to reveal the original and apparently unused pink eraser in its little metal eraser holder.  Below this is the spare lead hopper.  There are a couple of spare leads in here and I have fitted a fresh 0.9mm lead into the mechanism.  It is a propel-repel pencil and works by twisting the cap.  It has a gold-filled point.

Box

A large white polka dot hardshell case with pale pinkish satin lining.  It is very clean outside and in, with just some orangey age spotting to the satin lining.  Also inside the box is the original instruction leaflet.  

Both pieces are working perfectly.  The pen writes very smoothly with a medium width and nice wet line.
