A beautiful glossy burgundy Parker 51 in excellent condition.  I can find nothing wrong with this very well-presented pen.  There are no splits, cracks, chips or noticeable scratching to barrel or hood, and these are both nice and glossy.  The cap has nearly all of its frosting intact and the grey top jewel is clear with no chips or cracks.  The 14 carat gold hooded nib is undamaged and is in a medium-fine point.  Unscrewing the barrel, the Aerometric filler is made from brushed stainless steel and has just a tiny bit of discolouration to the forward edge.  The original pliglass ink sac is still fitted and is still in perfectly serviceable condition.  The Parker box is the super quality had-shell case with brass bound lid and base.  It has the faux lizard skin outer with a silk lid lining and a flocked pad.  There is some ink staining and age spotting inside.

I have fully serviced this pen. Like most '51s the nib is a delight, being very smooth.  It writes with a consistent medium-fine width, wet line.
