This is a really beautiful Sheaffer set.  Both pens have an Imperial-style gold plated pocket clip with the Sheaffer white dot at the top.  The steel of the caps and barrels is brushed in a very attractive spiral pattern, and the texturing is extra-crisp with no damage that I can see at all.  The cap lips are decorated with a lovely relief-engraved "Florentine" pattern cap ring, that again, is gold plated.  Both pens are in lovely, and almost pristine condition still. 

Fountain Pen

The black plastic section looks to be unmarked with no visible scratching or other damage.  The nib is one of Sheaffer's lovely conical nibs, and this one is in an extra fine point.  This is the much nice 14ct gold nib that supplied with the 620XG version of this pen and again is completely undamaged.  This is a cartridge/converter filler and can be used with its original squeeze-bar Sheaffer ink converter that is already fitted to the pen or standard Sheaffer ink cartridges.  Unusually, there is still a black paper sales sticker to the rear of the pen giving its model number.

Ballpoint

This pen has the "reminder" that prevents you from slipping it over your pocket edge whilst the writing point is extended.  The clip is also used to extend and retract the point; press on the bottom of the clip to extend, and the top to retract.  It is fitted still with its original Sheaffer refill in blue, which is working pretty much perfectly still.  The ballpoint pen also has the black sales sticker to the rear of the cap.

Box

The original blue corded fabric covered hard shell presentation case is still in lovely condition with its brass bound base and satin interior with the Lady Sheaffer logo on the inside of the lid. 

I have fully serviced this set.  The nib is very smooth and writes with a lovely fine to extra-fine width wet and consistent line.

A really nice hardly used pen set in the top 620XG finish
