This beautiful Japanese all brushed steel Sheaffer is in excellent condition. These pens were made for Sheaffer by the Sailor Pen Company of Japan. Both cap and barrel ends are flat with black plastic inserts. The pocket clip is straight and inscribed with the Sheaffer "S" at the bottom. Around the cap lip is engraved "Sheaffer" and "Japan". Both cap and barrel are finished with some lovely frosting to the surface. The only damage I can find on this pen are the inevitable light and wispy surface scratches in the frosting. The section is in glossy nlack plastic with a chrome plated "collar" at the end. The lovely shiny nib is in stainless steel with a distinctive heart-shaped air hole. It is in a medium point.
The pen is a cartridge/converter filler and was originally designed to accept Sheaffer slim cartridges, but it will also accept the more ubiquitous "international" sized cartridges.
A beautiful pen, and quite sought after today
