This very attractive and unusual matte burgundy lacquered Fashion II has been used but judging by its excellent condition, very sparingly and very carefully.  I really can't find any damage on this pen at all.  There are no dings to either the cap or barrel and no scratches or loss to the lacquer either.  The pen has a nice heft, being of brass construction.  The 23 carat electroplate trim sets off the deep burgundy of the cap and barrel very well.  The flat-topped cap has a straight spring loaded gold plated pocket clip with the Sheaffer white dot at the top.  The barrel has a gold plated end piece to match that of the cap.  The barrel unscrews to allow the fitting of a standard Sheaffer ink converter.  The pen will also accept standard Sheaffer ink cartridges.  The black section is detailed with more gold plated trim.  The nib is similarly gold plated and in lovely shiny and undamaged condition.  It is in a medium point.

The original Sheaffer presentation case is also in great condition. Outside it is covered in red leatherette with gold tooling.  Inside, the lid is lined in white satin and the pad is a grey flocked material.  Below the pad is the original instruction sheet.
