It is so rare to find these pens in such nice a condition as this one as they are so fragile.  This pen is in excellent condition. There does not appear to be any damage at all on this beautiful pen.  This pen was probably made in the mid to late 1970s.  The cap tapers to a flat top, and is fitted with a gold plated pocket clip with the Sheaffer white dot at the shoulder.  The clip also acts as a safeguard when putting your pen in your pocket as it will not allow itself to be clipped on whilst the writing point is extended.  You just press the clip at the top to retract, and at the bottom to extend.  This pen will accept standard Sheaffer ballpoint refills.  It is fitted with a modern Sheaffer "K" refill which is working perfectly.  The pen is covered in a dark teal coloured lacquer with incised wavy lines running the length of the pen which have a gold coloured infill.  The original blue hard-shell case has a little bit of grubbiness to the outside but is much cleaner inside and includes the original instruction sheet.  

I have fully serviced this pen.  It works perfectly.A very uncommon survivor.
