SU081 Summit No. S.100 (Soft Medium)

This black chased Summit dates from the late 1930s.  It is in excellent condition with no damage apparent at all.  The chasing is in a fish scale pattern and is still nice and crisp.  The cap has a conical-ended top button that holds on the chrome plated washer style ball ended pocket clip.  There is also a narrow chrome plated cap band.  The barrel imprint is very nice, being sharp and well-defined.  The long and narrow filling lever is also chrome plated and has undamaged plating.  The nib is a shiny Summit nib made from 14 carat gold.  It is in a medium point.

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib writes smoothly with a wet and medium width line.  It is a soft nib and will provide for some attractive if understated line width variation as you write from a fine to a medium line with very little effort.
