WA710 Waterman Pencil
WA710 Waterman Pencil
Date: c1950
Size: Length - 113mm.
A rather nice English Waterman's pencil from the late 1940s or early 1950s in the rather attractive green striated celluloid. It is in very good condition with no damage on it that I could spot. The cap is fitted with a Deco-style Waterman's pocket clip in gold fill with the ribbing at the shoulder and this is held on by a small gold filled top button with a concave upper surface. The cap will unscrew to reveal the remains of the original pink eraser. At the top of the barrel is a single gold filled band with imprinted decoration. Mid-barrel is the imprint which is rather faint and proved almost impossible to photograph. The point is gold filled also. This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the point. I have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism, so it should be all ready to go.
I have fully serviced this pencil. It works perfectly.
