A very unusual and very late Eversharp pen made in the UK, and made probably very soon before they were overtaken by Parker pens. This pen is styled very similarly to the "Big E" which was produced after the Parker takeover, so this may be the forerunner of that pen. It is in very good condition with just some very fine "drawer wear" to the barre lthat you will be hard-pressed to see without magnification. The barrel has a partial factory-applied chalkmark to the barrel which gives the model name (V.10) along with the nib designation and price. The cap has a teal coloured cap top button with the characteristic U shaped top. The pocket clip is gold plated, fluted down the stem, and has the stylised E at the terminal. The body of the cap is polished chrome plated with the imprint around the lip. Both barrel and section are in a teal coloured resin. The barrel unscrews to reveal the very unusual design of filler. This works similarly to a Parker Aerometric filler, but the sac is surrounded by a flexible sac guard. I have never seen a design quite like this before. The small nib is imprinted EVERSHARP and ENGLAND and is made from 14 carat gold. It is in a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. It fills very well. The nib is very smooth. It writes with a splendid wet and fine width consistent line. The nib is soft, and will provide for some very attractive understated line width variation as you write. I would class it as a semi-flexible nib.
