WE552 Eversharp Skyline Pencil, boxed.

A very pretty skyline pencil with a jet black lower barrel and a beautiful green pearl and black striped upper barrel.  It is in excellent condition with no real damage that I can spot save for some very minor plating wear to the point.  All the trim is gold filled.  The top of the barrel has a button which is pressed down to advance the 1.18mm lead.  The button also pulls out and has a fossilized pink eraser on the other end.  The pocket clip has the double tick quality mark at the top and "EVERSHARP" imprinted down the shaft.  It is mounted on the barrel in a similar way to the Skyline fountain pen clips to give a good springy grip.  The cone is also gold filled.  This is a clutch-type repeater pencil.  You press down on the top button to release the clutch and allow the lead to advance.  It is very unusual indeed to have the original box which is superbly made from brass with a faux leather outer and a cream-coloured fabric lining.  It is a very sturdy and hefty box. This box was designed to hold two items so the pencil may well have originally been sold in a set with a fountain pen.

I have fully serviced this pencil.    The mechanism works very well.  I have installed a lead into the mechanism so it is all ready to go.
