The Wyvern 303 is a very unusual and scarce pen that was first produced in 1948, and was only made for a very short time.  This beautiful Wyvern 303 is a real survivor, being still in very good condiiton, with the only damage being the plating wear to the pocket clip, mainly at the shoulder and terminal.  Please see the images below.  Otherwise, this pen is in remarkably good condition.  The Wyvern 303 must be in the running for having the widest cap band of any pen.  This gold plated band extends to over 2/3 of the cap!  It is decorated with engraved hoops and has the Wyvern name engraved around the lip.  Although at first glance, this pen looks to be black, it is actually a very dark bottle green colour.  This is only really apparent in strong light though. In dimmer lighting condition it appears black.  The pocket clip ise gold plated and has a tapering fluted design.  It is held on by the cap top "jewel" which stands proud of the tassie.  The cap is click-fit, it could be a tighter fit if I am being very picky, but it does hold well still.  Removing it, you will find the curiously long and narrow nib.  This pen has obviously been influenced by the Parker 51, as they have used a nib of similar shape and dimensions, they have just not put a hood over it.  This gives this pen a really unique and cool look about it.  The barrel bears a large and complete imprint.  This is a button-fill pen.  you can uinscrew the barrel end blind cap to reveal the original brass filling button.  

In the last 20 years, I have had just one other Wyvern 303, and it was not in that good a condition. This is quite an uncommon pen and this one has the advantage of being in very nice condition.
