A very pretty glossy jet black celluloid Wyvern pen set from, I would think, the late 1940sor early 1950s.  This pen pen set in in excellent condition with no damage on it that I can see at all, and I think that it has problably not been used more than a couple of times in its entire life if that.  All the gold plated trim is in lovely, almost as -new condition and the barrels and caps are glossy and scratch-free. 

Fountain Pen

The flat-ended cap top button holds on the washer style pocket clip.  The pocket clip itself tapers toward the ball-shaped terminal.  There is a single narrow gold plated cap band.  The barrel has a good crisp and deep imprint that is very easy to read.  The filling lever has a flat end tab .  The 14ct gold semi-hooded nib is in a fine point.

Pencil

The matching pencil has a similar cap with flat top button, gold plated pocket clip and single cap band. It also has a good clear imprint to the lower barrel and a gold plated point.  The cap will unscrew to reveal a broken-off pink eraser.  This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the point.   have fitted a fresh 1.18mm lead into the mechanism and it is all ready to go.  

Box

The original presentation box is made from paperboard with a flocked outer and pad and a lid lined in gold coloured paper with the Wyvern logo printed on it.  It is also in very ice condition with just a little edge wear. 

I have fully serviced this pen set.  The pencil works perfectly.  The pen writes with a lovely smooth and consistent fine width line.  The nib is a soft one and will provide for some attractive line width variation as you write.  

It is very unusual to find these with their original box.
