PA3509 Parker Victory Mk. V, boxed. (Soft Fine)
Date: c1966
Size: Capped - 135mm; posted - 157mm.
A glossy deep bottle green Victory Mk. V. Condition is excellent. Barrel and cap are both glossy with no splits, cracks or chips or even any noticeable scratches. I cannot actually find any damage on this item at all. The cap has a green conical top "jewel" with a rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip and "deco" engraved cap band. The barrel imprint is very shallow as many of these 50s and 60s imprints are and proved to be very difficult to photograph clearly, but it is just about all still there. The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filler. This is also in very good condition with none of the sac guard discolouration. The sac guard has a brushed finish. The original pliglass ink sac is still present and still nice and supple. It has the usual internal ink staining. The nib is a Parker No, 10 size nib in 14 carat gold in a fine point. The original Parker box is also in verynice condition. Inside the box can be found the original instruction sheet which has some scribbling on it including the original seller stamp and what I take to be the purchase date of 30th April 1966.
I have fully serviced this pen. The nib is very smooth to write with and produces a wet, fine width line. It does have some softness and will provide for a tiny bit of line width variation as you write.
