PA3599 Parker Duofold Demi, boxed (Soft Medium)

Size: Length Capped - 125mm; Length Posted - 140mm.

A glossy jet black demi-sized Aerometric Duofold with rolled gold trim and a Parker Newhaven nib.   The pen is in excellent condition, having a lovely glossy appearance with no damage apparent.  Both cap and barrel are very glossy with no scratches or scuff evident, and all the trim is nice and shiny with no brassing or plating wear.   The cap has a black conical end "jewel" and a rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip.  There is also a wide cap band - also rolled gold - that has the usual "deco" engraving.  The nib is made from 14 carat yellow gold and is in a medium point.  The barrel bears a shallow but complete imprint with the date code for 1951 to the right.  The Aerometric filler looks very good to me, with an unblemished sac guard.  The original pliglass sac is still fitted, and still in excellent condition with sone green internal ink staining.  The original stock box has some discolouration and scribbling to the lid, but structurally it is still in great condition. 

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib writes very smoothly with a wet and consistent medium line.  It is a soft-ish nib and will give a tiny bit of line width variation as you write.  

These Demi Duofolds seem quite scarce, and this one is in very nice condition.
