This lustrous burgundy red '17' is in almost pristine condition. It looks to me like it has hardly been used. I can't find any damage at all here - there is no plating wear on the rolled gold trim and no noticeable scratches on either barrel or cap. It is a double jewel model with the wide cap band. The cap has a top jewel with a rolled gold Parker arrow pocket clip and a rolled gold wide cap lip band. The barrel end also has a jewel with an undamaged rolled gold surround. The barrel imprint is crisp though quite shallow as many of these are. Very unusually, the barrel still bears the full factory-applied chalkmark. The clutch ring is in steel. The barrel unscrews to reveal the Aerometric filling mechanism. This is also in excellent condition - shiny with no damage. The original pliglass ink sac is still emminently serviceable and shows no sign of ever seeing ink - it retains all of its original transparency. The hooded nib is in 14 carat gold, undamaged, with a medium width point. The box is probably the original one for this pen, though it was designed for two pens or a pen and a pencil. It is in very nice condition with just a little exge and corner wear to the outside . Inside, the pad is made from satin and the original instruction sheet is also here.
I have fully serviced this pen. It fills well and writes superbly with a very smooth, wet and consistent medium width line.
Lovely.
