This unusual Parker Depression pen is in fair condition.  The main and most obvious problem with this pen is that the barrel, and to a lesser extent, the cap, has discoloured quite markedly over time.  This is quite common with these early celluloid pens.  The original colour of this pen would have been similar to the late stripe on the cap.  An onyx creamy colour with red veining.  Other than the discolouration though, this pen is in pretty good nick.  It has nic shiny gold filled trim and the barrel and cap are glossy with only very minor surface wear.  The cap has a self-coloured screw-down top which holds on the washer-style gold filled pocket clip with a single gold filled cap band below.  This is a button filled pen.  You unscrew the blind barrel end cap to reveal the original filling button.  The filling mechanism is in excellent condition with a brand new ink sac, and it all works very well.   The barrel bears a partially worn imprint which is nonetheless still mainly readable.  The original Parker nib is made from 14 carat gold and is in a rather nice soft broad stub point.  This is a Canadian-made pen, no doubt for the English market, and both pen and nib are stamped Canada.   

I have fully serviced this pen.  The nib is very smooth, and writes with a very good consistent line. The tip does show wear, but there is still iridium on the writing service, so it has a good few year's worth of use left in it.  It has a stubby end and is a soft nib.  I will give you some very attractive line width variation as you write from a medium to a good solid broad width.
